On the morning of March 31st, the New College Entrance Examination Seminar for National High School Presidents sponsored by NAEA was held in Xiaoshan Teaching Practice Base, Zhejiang Province. Xu Yuqian, Director of NAEA Program Operation Department and Lu Zhenjin, Executive Vice Director of Zhejiang Education Administrators Training Center as well as Primary and Secondary School Teachers Training Center, attended the opening ceremony.
Fang Hongfeng, Director of Basic Education Department of Zhejiang Education Department, gave a report on the event. Fang Hongfeng first introduced the general situation, main practices and basic experience of the College Entrance Examination reform in Zhejiang Province, and analyzed the positive changes in senior high school education. Meanwhile, he stressed that the College Entrance Examination reform was a complex systematic project, which should be carried out with a positive and stable attitude, step by step and in accordance with local conditions.
The purpose of this seminar is to comprehensively understand the new ideas of College Entrance Examination reform, learn from the experiences of pilot areas, further deepen the reform of education and teaching, and improve the ability of running schools. 98 high school presidents from 10 provinces and municipalities in China participated in the seminar. They would have one-week study through expert reports, visits, typical cases, and discussions.
